As a Registered Nurse in our Operating Room Mainland department, you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians to deliver exceptional patient care. Your role will involve utilizing the nursing care process, ensuring a culturally competent continuum of care across various settings. You will oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring it aligns with the medical treatment plan. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize the nursing care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to deliver culturally competent care.
- Oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring consistency with the medical treatment plan.
- Identify and prioritize patient problems, setting goals for patient care and health promotion.
- Provide patient education consistent with identified problems and associated goals.
- Perform limited laboratory services, including specimen collection and processing, quality control, and instrument maintenance.
- Administer patient care according to standards, procedural guidelines, and organizational policy.
- Support performance improvement initiatives and provide leadership to other patient care team members.
- Engage in continuous professional growth through educational activities.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire or transfer.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at the time of hire; training will be provided.
- 2 years of medical/surgical and/or emergency room experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Minimum of 8 contact hours of education every year in basic trauma, stroke assessment, and stabilization.
- ATCN or TNCC certification required within 24 months of hire or transfer.
- PALS or ENPC certification attained within 12 months of hire or transfer.
- CPI certification required for existing team members by 10/31/25; new team members have 1 year from the hire or transfer date.
