Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant - Unit Coordinator role coordinates and organizes the clinical duties of the unit or department and performs Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) duties as appropriate.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Maine or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in New Hampshire. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
Experience: Relevant experience preferred.

Shifts start at 7:45 AM and end at 4:15 PM, Monday through Friday. The clinics are closed on weekends and holidays. Main responsibilities of the position include (1) patient care and nursing support – taking weights/vital signs, offering blankets/refreshments, cleaning of infusion chairs between patients (2) supply management – monitoring supply levels and ordering additional supplies as needed, and (3) maintaining regulatory logs/checks of some equipment (AED, eye wash station). Posted position is 36 hours per week, normally achieved by working nine 8 hour shifts in a two week pay period – four 8 hours shifts one week and five 8 hour shifts the other week. However, flexibility exists in final position hours per week, with possibility for more or less days per week if preferred. Does this position sound like you?
