Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring consistency with the medical treatment plan.
- Assist with patient assignments based on acuity and staffing requirements.
- Utilize the care process consistent with your license and certification, including initiating interventions within your scope of practice.
- Conduct patient assessments, identify problems, and prioritize them based on biophysical, psychological, and environmental factors.
- Develop and implement a plan of care, setting goals, and providing education to promote patient empowerment.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary revisions to the care plan.
- Support performance improvement initiatives and provide leadership to the patient care team.
- Engage in continuous professional growth through educational activities.
- Ensure all patient care activities adhere to standards, procedural guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey is essential.
- BLS/HCP certification within one year from the date of hire or transfer for specialty leaders.
- ACLS/CNOR certification is preferred.
- 3-5 years of OR/PACU experience is required, with 2 years of previous specialty experience or demonstrated competency.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications is preferred, with training provided for incumbents.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities for patient assessment and care planning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
