This is a 0.8 FTE primarily  working at our Webster and Frederic clinics with potential to float to other  locations when needed.  There is  currently no evening, weekend or holiday requirements, but this could change  with business needs. This person will generally  work with our specialty care teams. Hours  are generally Monday through Friday 7:40-4:40. Flexibility is greatly  appreciated.  

The Clinician Technician (CMA/LPN) is responsible for planning and managing patient care according to patient need. Responsibilities also include rooming and interviewing patients, recording medical history and physical condition information including taking and recording patient vital signs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of provider and following SCH policies and processes

  • Room patients
  • Assist providers with procedures, examinations or treatments
  • Monitor patient condition during treatments, procedures or activities
  • Cleans medical equipment or instruments
  • Record patient medical histories
  • Prepare medical supplies or equipment for use
  • Collect specimens from patients and prepare for testing
  • Complete appropriate documentation in EMR
  • Provide approved patient education.

Manages patient follow-up activities and responsibilities

  • Document patient phone calls and follow-up data in EMR
  • Maintain medical facility records
  • Schedule patient procedures and appointments
  • Explain medical procedures or test results to patients and/or family members
  • Follow-up regarding patient plans, lab letters and other documents in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process other requests, including medication prior authorizations 

Comply with department and facility standards

  • Understand Clinic Policies and Procedures 
  • Perform work according to organization policies and procedures

Other duties as assigned

  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies or equipment
  • Order medical supplies or equipment

Requirements

Education & Licensure: 

  • Graduate of  an accredited Medical Assistant program & current CMA/RMA credentials
  • Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS course

  • Current LPN license in the State of Wisconsin and Minnesota
  • Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS course

Experience:

  • Prior clinic experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Epic or Excellian software desired

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Flexible and willing to fill different roles as needed
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and manage multiple demands and priorities

OTP LPN Medication Room Nurse

$25 - $30 / hour
Location: This position will provide coverage primarily at our West side location at 6460 Harrison Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45247 and may occasionally provide coverage as needed at our Forest Park or OTR sites. Sunrise Treatment Center is an outpatient opiate addiction treatment facility. We are seeking someone who is detail-oriented, for a structured, lower-volume nursing role where you would prepare and dispense buprenorphine and methadone medication from our on-site dispensary.
