Schedule Details: 36 hours/week, Day shift (7-7)
Looking for a compassionate Behavioral Health Nurse delivering expert clinical care and consultative support for patients with mental and behavioral health needs. Skilled in assessment, crisis prevention, and evidence-based interventions, with a strong focus on collaboration, safety, and family-centered care in diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide behavioral health consultation to interdisciplinary teams, guiding care for psychiatric and psychosocial needs
Conduct mental health screenings, assessments, and coordinate appropriate care and referrals
Collaborate to develop individualized, integrated care plans for pediatric patients and families
Apply evidence-based practices and the nursing process to drive optimal patient outcomes
Support crisis prevention, de-escalation, and safe patient care environments
Maintain accurate, compliant EMR documentation of interventions, outcomes, and services
Partner with care teams to ensure effective communication and care coordination
Contribute to policy development, program improvement, and regulatory readiness
Create culturally responsive education materials for patients, families, and staff
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, supporting team development and quality care delivery
Qualifications
ADN required; BSN preferred
1+ year nursing experience required
1+ years experience with patients having co-occurring behavioral health presentations, or in psychiatric or behavioral health required
Experience with diverse populations
Experience in a pediatric medical setting preferred
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required
License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin required
