Summary Statement

Under the supervision of the DON and delegation of RN/LPN the employee assists in the direct care of patients,

ensures well-being, comfort and safety of patients during scheduled shifts for hospital, ER and Nursing Service

patients. Provides and maintains professional, quality, patient centered care through the implementation of

CNA standard, policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

May be required to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, or stoop. Sit/Stand throughout the day. Physical setting in

Hospital/ED.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or its equivalent. Completed Certified Nursing Assistant

program and have active certification.

Licensure/Certification: MT CNA License; Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience/Knowledge: Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, patients and family members.

Must provide care to patients of all ages and acuity while working with individuals

of varying backgrounds to ensure high quality patient care delivery.

Successful candidate must pass a background check and drug screen.

The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $22.35 – $33.16. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Important Position Information: This position is currently based at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend and will transition to PeaceHealth Springfield Rehabilitation Hospital no later than the end of September 2026 . Caregivers hired into this role should be comfortable working in a rehabilitation-focused environment and understand that their primary work location will move from the main hospital to PeaceHealth Springfield Rehabilitation Hospital as part of this planned transition. Job Summary Assists professional nursing personnel in providing quality, compassionate patient care by performing tasks involving direct and indirect patient care, using skills and knowledge in basic nursing assistant procedures and techniques under direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
