
Licensed Practical Nurse - River Crossing Clinic 85%
The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered Licensed Practical Nurse 85% (34 hours per week) to work at the UICC River Crossing Family Medicine Clinics. This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.

Under direct supervision of LIP (licensed independent practitioner), RN (registered nurse), NM/ANM (nurse manager/assistant nurse manager) or other licensed designee, functions as a member of the patient care team. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the urgent care setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit.

Duties To Include:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

- Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting.
- Duties may involve the use of electronic word/data processing equipment and/or conventional office equipment.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support provider.
- Medical Terminology

- Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards
- Previous Epic experience
- Minimum 1- year ambulatory experience
- Previous Phlebotomy experience
