We currently have two openings in the Pediatrics Department at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo. These benefited, full-time Medical Assistant positions are generally scheduled Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on department needs. In this role, the Medical Assistant will work closely with an assigned provider.

Position Pay Range: $25.95-$32.56/hour

- This is a 1:1 position with a full time provider
- Administering vaccines to infants through adolescents
- Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures
- Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice
- Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
- Collecting patient data in person and by phone
- Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
- Administering medications specifically directed by the physician
- Scheduling of appointments and procedures
- Complete and accurate message taking
- Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction
- Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications
- Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics
- Insurance verifications
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- 1 year of experience working as Medical Assistant
- Pediatrics experience
- Experience with vaccine administration
