We are looking for an Admissions Nurse to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. You will also be responsible for educating them and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to-promote patient’s being-by providing high quality nursing care.

 

Responsibilities: Admissions Nurse

  • Assist in ensuring quality nursing care to all residents/patients. Supports and practices the philosophy, nursing objectives and standards of the Department of Nursing.
  • Ensures that the nursing department is adequately staffed to provide quality care to patients/residents.
  • Ensures the provision of in-service/staff development programs that contribute to meeting nursing objectives and standards and comply with all state and federal regulations.
  • Provides clinical expertise to facilitate and support the nursing process in patient/ resident interventions.
  • Assists in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients/residents, employees and visitors.
  • Exercises administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel as directed by the Director of Nursing and Assistant DON.

Requirements: Admissions Nurse

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ management experience
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Valid RN nursing license in the state of Wisconsin

Responsibilities: Assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures. Provide high-quality nursing care, including assessing and managing patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab and interventional radiology as needed. Closely monitor patients for improvements or complications, administering medications as indicated, including moderate sedation during procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of diagnostic and interventional catheterization, including circulating, monitoring, and recording procedures. Interpret 12-lead EKGs, manage cardiac medications, and provide emergency management of cardiac patients. Adhere to current clinical practice guidelines in cardiology and support secondary prevention efforts. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments to gather data and identify patient needs. Pre-procedure responsibilities include ensuring all clinically important aspects are checked before the patient enters the Cath Lab. Assist physicians during catheterization procedures, angioplasties, pacemaker implantation, and other cardiac procedures.
