Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural evaluations.
- Identify patient problems and prioritize them based on biophysical, psychological, and environmental factors.
- Set goals and provide education aligned with identified problems to promote patient empowerment.
- Oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring consistency with the medical treatment plan.
- Implement specific interventions and orders as per the plan of care and medical instructions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary revisions to the care plan.
- Document patient care activities according to standards and organizational policies.
- Support performance improvement initiatives and provide leadership to the patient care team.
- Engage in continuous professional growth through educational activities.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire or transfer.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred, with training provided for incumbents.
- 2 years of medical/surgical and/or emergency room experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Minimum of 8 contact hours of education annually in basic trauma, stroke assessment, and intervention.
- ATCN or TNCC certification required within 24 months of hire or transfer.
- PALS or ENPC certification attained within 12 months of hire or transfer.
- CPI certification by 10/31/25 for existing team members, and new team members have 1 year from hire or transfer date.
