Join our cardiology team as a Medical Assistant, where you'll play a critical role in supporting physicians and delivering high-quality patient care. In this role, you'll work directly with cardiologists to prepare patients for visits, perform key clinical tasks, and help ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in a fast-paced specialty practice.

Reporting to the Office Manager and working under the direct supervision of Cardiologist(s), you'll be an essential part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

What You'll Do

Prepare patients for cardiology visits, including intake, vital signs, and documentation
Perform EKGs and assist with cardiac-related clinical procedures
Support physicians during patient exams and treatments
Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
Coordinate patient flow to maintain an efficient clinic environment
Provide excellent customer service to patients in person and over the phone
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical workspace
Ensure compliance with confidentiality, safety, and regulatory standards

What You Bring

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of a Medical Assistant program strongly preferred

Preferred Experience

2-4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, ideally in a cardiology or specialty practice preferred

Licensure & Certification

Medical Assistant certification in Massachusetts preferred but not required

Key Skills & Strengths

EKG experience required
Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
Strong patient care and customer service skills
Experience with EMR/EHR systems; Meditech and GE Centricity preferred
Excellent communication skills (in person and by phone)
