About the Role:
As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our long-term care unit, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and attention. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the long-term care unit, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality care and services
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident
Manage and delegate tasks to a team of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs)
Conduct regular rounds to ensure that all residents are receiving appropriate care and attention
Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure that our unit remains compliant and innovative
Requirements:
Current LPN licensure in the state of Nebraska
Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or healthcare management
Strong understanding of nursing principles and regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
