What You’ll Do
- Assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others.
- Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal healthcare outcomes.
- Takes a patient load.
- Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Oversee and guides employees that are under his/her supervision including basic corrective action and support for performance reviews.
- The concepts of patient centered care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Licensure / Certification / Education
- Current RN licensure from the State of Oklahoma required.
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS required.
- ACLS required and must be complete prior to working in a clinical setting.
- Two years’ experience in acute care specialty nursing. One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred. Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision. Basic computer skills required
- All functions of an acute care RN plus the following.
- Provides effective leadership for the implementation and improvement of the required components of the patient centered care delivery model. (Example: bedside report, hourly rounding, etc.).
- Taking a lower acuity assignment as needed to meet unit needs while continuing to serve as a resource and leader for patient care problems. Includes assuming the role of staff nurse, charge nurse or team leader as needed
- Completes unit patient rounds with purpose to evaluate the patient status, perception and quality of care provided. Supports compliance with hourly rounding with purpose to promote nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (i.e. pain, repositioning, and toileting).
- Facilitates effective productivity through the use of personal organizational skills and time management. Promotes a positive work environment.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Ability to tolerate high stress levels while maintaining a positive, professional attitude
