Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City Shift: Full Time (36 hours/week) Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts/week Overview: Under the supervision of the surgeon, The Surgical Tech First Assist (ST-FA) is a role which provides additional assistance to the surgeon in the Operating Room over and above that normally provided. As defined by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), surgical assistants provide aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other interoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safer operation with optimal results for the patient.
