Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS/CPR certification

Accurately record medical history, vital statistics, and test results in electronic medical records. Collect and prepare blood, tissue, or other specimens for lab testing with proper labeling. Assist physicians during patient exams, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are available. Prepare treatment rooms by maintaining cleanliness and restocking supplies as needed. Clean and sterilize instruments, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Conduct phone consultations with patients regarding test results and health concerns. Perform phlebotomy and other diagnostic tests as required by the provider. Administer medications, including oral, intramuscular, SubQ, and topical, as directed. Ensure detailed and accurate documentation of all patient care activities. Stock exam rooms with necessary supplies, monitor for expired items, and manage waste appropriately. Contribute to OSHA compliance and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Foster a respectful, courteous, and welcoming environment for patients and team members. Collaborate within a primary care medical home model to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care. Attend required safety training programs and adhere to established safety protocols. Maintain work areas and equipment in compliance with Legacy and governmental standards. Report safety concerns promptly and follow exposure control plans as required. Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment. Participate in annual education programs and take on additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required BLS/CPR Certification required Up to one year experience Excellent communication skills and customer service skills. Basic front desk, clerical or healthcare support specialist skills/experience Ability to work with clinical staff, works well under pressure, and multitask within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to the concepts of preventive health care and team approach to health care delivery Experience working with computers Experience with Microsoft Office applications. Bilingual English/Spanish required Phlebotomy skills preferred Experience with electronic medical records, preferred.
