Here is What You Will Be Doing:
  • Completes nursing assessment of patient and documents appropriately into patient chart.
  • Develops and reviews and revises a plan of care, including a discharge plan, based upon the assessment of patient's needs.
  • Implements medical and nursing orders per plan of care and documents appropriately.

  • Participates in Bedside Shift Report.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Nurse Manager to assure the integration of the ANA’s Scope & Standards of Practice, assuring that these standards are identified as the measurement criteria for nursing practice on the unit.
  • Coordinates patient care in collaboration with providers and ancillary departments to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Completes Unit specific orientation and ongoing training and competencies as assigned based on department role, scope of services, and organizational standards.

  • Medical/Oncology, Medical, Telemetry, Surgical/Ortho/Neuro, Pediatric, ICU, OB/GYN, Nursery II, Acute Rehab, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and Care Clinic
  • 14 Days: Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within fourteen (14) calendar days of start date
  • 30 Days to 2 years: Additional requirements/certifications as noted in the Specialty Certification Requirements and Mandatory Requirements for Specialty Units lists below

WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical Physical Demands : Requires frequent rolling greater than 80 pounds, often combined with bending and turning. Requires the ability to respond, direct and intervene during stat calls throughout building in a timely manner. Requires ability to walk up and down stairs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal limits. Requires use of office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines and copy machines.
