Clementine Houston, located in Conroe, TX is a residential treatment program exclusively for adolescents seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. 

 

At Clementine, we support adolescents and their families on the path to full recovery by preparing each adolescent to navigate the challenges of life free of the eating disorder. We provide the empathy, education, and support to families as partners in the recovery process. We help each adolescent to replace the eating disorder with healthy skills and a deep understanding of how to live a life that reflects their own unique individuality.

 

We are seeking a per diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Clementine team. 

 

Availabilty needed for Day (7a-7p) and Overnights (7pm-7am)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Obtaining and recording vitals as needed.
  • Monitoring and reporting unusual client behavior.
  • Medication administration.
  • Document promptly and properly.
  • Model normalized dietary habits by eating meals to completion when working during mealtimes.

Qualifications:

  • Active license as Registered Nurse (or be license-eligible).
  • Experience in residential or inpatient behavioral health and mental health settings is helpful.
  • Any past work with those overcoming Eating Disorders is a plus.
  • Must hold active CPR/BLS prior to starting work. (We can arrange training if needed).

Assesses and reassesses the patient to gather data relevant to the patient’s individual, age specific needs, and disease process. Provides age specific patient care according to the assessment data, departmental policies and procedures and physician orders. Evaluates the patient’s response to interventions. Documents assessment data, patient care, interventions, and evaluations in the medical record. Documents drug procedure and equipment data required for generating patient billing information and for departmental inventory control. Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning. Ensures a safe environment for the patient. Participates in teaching the patient and family. Quality assurance and Core Measures for Cath Lab. Completes continuing education and in-service training in order to maintain current knowledge or skills to perform job responsibilities. Category I exposure are tasks that involve exposure to blood and body fluids. Therefore, personal protective equipment is required. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) Current BLS and ACLS issued from American Heart Association required 1 year of clinical Cath Lab experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required.
