JOB SUMMARY

The Licensed practical nurse performs a variety of patient care activities and assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard practice of care in accordance with state licensure regulations. They are responsible for restocking of supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Type: PRN or As Needed

Typical Hours: Days vary Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Education:

Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing program.

Certification & Licensures:

Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Missouri.

BLS certification.

Experience:

Skill in taking vital signs, history, attention to detail, patient education and instruction, and multi-tasking.

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public.

Ability to maintain quality control standard and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations.

Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions. Assume responsibility for professional growth and development.

Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs.

Description Job Summary The Clinic LPN/CMA provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of Clinical Nurse Supervisor. Responsible for the rendering of basic supervised nursing care to patients in this facility in support of the physicians, nurse practitioners, and the physician’s assistant; maintaining accurate and up to date entry of patient data within the clinic electronic health record to allow efficient review on demand during patient office appointments; and establishing and maintaining quality, confidential patient care.
