Unit A is a 45-bed Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit providing comprehensive care for adult patients with diverse medical and surgical needs, including those requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.

We’re Looking For

Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program
Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific as applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Department: Family Care Unit Location: Kernersville Medical Center, Kernersville NC Unit Info: This unit opened in March of 2024, it's a low risk level I, 12 bed unit. Patients labor, deliver & recover in the same room. This team consists of RN's, Surg Techs, Lactation Consultants, and a dedicated OB Anesthesiologist as well as a 24/7 neonatal NP and respiratory. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, immediate recovery, and postpartum periods. Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal conditions, escalating concerns to providers as needed. Assist providers during vaginal & caesarean deliveries and stabilize mother and newborn immediately following birth. Monitor mothers during the recovery period for complications such as hemorrhage, infection, pain management needs, and changes in vital signs. Serve as a patient advocate while ensuring a safe and positive birth experience. What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
