Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology Services - NYP/Queens Medical Group

In this role, the Nurse Practitioner provides health care to gastroenterology patients in collaboration with the providers. Responsibilities include the delivery of care within the Medical and Surgical divisions, in accordance with the agreed upon Practice Protocols and Nurse Practitioner Clinical Practice Agreement. Acts within the policies and procedures established by the Division of Nursing, service department, and NewYork Presbyterian Queens Medical Group.

This is a full-time day shift position for the NYP/Queens Medical Group located in, Fresh Meadows, NY.

Preferred Criteria:

Experience in Gastroenterology in an outpatient setting

Required Criteria:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
Current New York State License as Nurse Practitioner.
Current New York State RN license.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a New York State approved accrediting body – American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
ACLS and BCLS Certification from the American Heart Association

They will be expected to follow clinical protocols, complete appropriate documentation for all medical encounters, to be cosigned and reviewed by the attending physician, perform routine pediatric emergency medicine procedures, including but not limited to suturing, splinting, phlebotomy, and urethral catheterizations, and write prescriptions in accordance with Federal and New York State Law. Preferred Criteria At least 6 months to one year of NP experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department, Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Urgent Care setting is preferred. Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology - Staten Island- Brooklyn Medical Group Clinical Patient Care : Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care in collaboration with a board-certified cardiologists. Perform history and physical exams, manage chronic cardiovascular conditions (e.g., hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation), order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans. Adjust medications, provide patient education, and coordinate follow-up care. Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record. Nuclear Stress Lab Duties : Prepare patients for nuclear stress testing (exercise and pharmacologic). Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients, addressing questions and concerns. Administer and monitor pharmacologic stress agents (e.g., regadenoson, Adenosine) . Supervise and assist with patient monitoring during stress testing, including IV placement, vital signs, and ECG monitoring. Assist with preliminary reporting and quality assurance as needed. This is a full time position located in Staten Island, NY.
