100% FTE, Mainly days with rotating nights (3-5 shifts per 6 week period) and 1:6 weekends (12, 16 hour shifts). Includes additional compensation for night and weekend hours.

Come provide care to adults with serious neurological illnesses in our Neuroscience ICU. At UW Health – an academic medical center and Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program – you will treat the most complex trauma and stroke cases in the state.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:

Collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide on-going patient care and management.
Partner with a larger team including Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care and Neurology to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness.
Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice.

Neonatal Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider

Overview JOB SPECIFICS The Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU) is a 64-bed, private-room unit with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit, and a Small Baby Unit. Team consists of our full-time neonatologists, nurse practitioners, residents, APP and physician fellows, nurses, respiratory therapists, and consultants from multiple specialties deliver the most advanced care to premature and high-risk infants. Rounding approach is family centered. Isolation facilities available. Management of premature and high-risk infants including bedside invasive and non-invasive monitoring, conventional and high-frequency ventilation, and surgery in multiple specialties, including cardiac and neurology. Opportunity to perform procedures such as intubation, thoracentesis, PICC, arterial and umbilical lines as well as newborn resuscitation for all high-risk deliveries. Additional opportunities to assist with transport of critical infants and to rotate to Level II nurseries in the OSF HealthCare System. Shared governance opportunities available within the scope of Safety, Quality Improvement, Education, and Focused Unit Based and Hospital Wide Committees. Nurse Practitioners must hold a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification from the National Certification Corporation Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable. BLS/ACLS Certified. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required. Prior experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in a NCCU is required. We offer a 1-year Neonatal Critical Care Fellowship for new graduates and for experienced Physician Assistants with no prior NCCU experience. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
