Responsibilities

We are actively hiring for a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist. 

 

Non-Certified Surgical Technologist Responsibilities:

  • Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
  • Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.  
  • Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

Non-Certified Surgical Technologist Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certification
  • Completion of Surgical Technologist course
  • Two years previous operating room experience
  • ASC experience preferred
  • ORT certification preferred
  • Successfully completed a training program for surgical technology in the armed forces of the United States, the National Guard or in the United States Public Health Services

Notifies appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs as needed. Assists in clearing OR suites. May handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials, harmful elements. Has the collaborative responsibility for the treatment and care of the patient from pediatrics through geriatrics. This position is supervised by the Technical Coordinator and reports to the Manager/Director of Perioperative Services. Requirements : Previous experience as a Surgical Technician Current BLS certification. Completion of course for surgical technicians preferred. Has full command of the English language (verbal and written). Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactory perform assigned duties.
