Overview

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Women's Center! The Nurse Practitioner shall work in collaboration with the practicing OBGYN to provide health care for patients. This care includes history taking, physical exams, diagnoses, prescribing of medications, treatment plans and the appropriate use of ancillary services. Compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care. 3-5 years’ experience in direct patient care required. 1-2 years’ experience focused on Women’s Health, preferred. Registered Nurse with endorsement as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with prescriptive authority from the Vermont Board of Nursing. The Nurse Practitioner should be licensed by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Current VT RN licensure in good standing with no restrictions or stipulations.

 

This is a Full-Time position (PT available).

How you make a difference The Travel Nurse Practitioner provides onsite medical care to inmates across various correctional facilities, covering for vacancies as needed. They assess acute and emergency complaints, develop treatment plans, and document care using EMR systems. The NP collaborates with physicians and mental health professionals and may determine the need for emergency offsite transfers. Responsibilities include participation in peer reviews, administrative meetings, and maintaining patient confidentiality. The role requires regular travel and adaptability to different work environments.
