This position requires giving chemotherapy, biotherapy, clinical trials infusion, and other infusion-related services, as well as blood work, dressing change, and injections in a fast-paced outpatient infusion center setting. This position requires the ability to respond to and handle urgent medical emergencies.

Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously, consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

The position is for infusion centers in North County(Encinitas, Vista and Rancho Bernardo).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.

  • Current California RN license.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification with recent experience (within the last 6 months).

  • Minimum one (1) year of recent (within the last 6 months) oncology infusion center or acute care oncology experience actively administering a wide variety of chemotherapy regimens and corresponding knowledge of oncology diagnoses and treatments.

  • Must have proven independent thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills.

  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSN.

  • Recent infusion center experience.

  • BMT experience.

  • Clinical Trials Infusion experience.

  • OCN certification.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 - $193,892 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $66.25 - $92.86

Assists with a gathering of information relative to the event. • Initiates emergency procedures (including basic CPR) and provide emergency patient treatments • Participates in the facility’s infection control program for monitoring communicable and/or infectious disease among residents and staff. • Participate in procedures for reporting hazardous conditions or equipment. • Assists in orientation of newly assigned personnel as requested. • Assumes Charge responsibility following orientation period as requested. • Performs other position-related duties as assigned. • Supervise CNAs SUPERVISION • Make resident rounds to ensure appropriate care is being rendered, identifying, and making corrections as necessary. • Meet with nursing personnel to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas and/or the improvement of resident care. • Assist the Charge Nurse in revision and distribution of nursing assignments as needed. • Assist in the supervision and direction of nursing personnel. • Participate in disciplinary action and evaluation of nursing personnel. CONSUMER SERVICE • Presents a professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech. • Treats residents/family members with dignity and respect • Responds to Resident and family concern(s) and assists in resolving grievances. Records grievances per facility policy ADDITIONAL DUTIES • Participate in the facility's Quality Assurance (QA) program as requested or needed. Assist in correcting findings and deficiencies from the Department of Health Services, Consultants, and the Quality Assurance Team as directed by the Director of Nursing. As a Registered Nurse for Aurora Behavioral Healthcare San Diego, you'll provide general and psychiatric nursing care to adults with emotional or psychiatric disorders. You will provide interventions that: promote and foster health; assess dysfunction; assist patients to regain or improve their coping abilities; maximize patient strengths and prevent further disability.
