CareCore at Westmoreland in Chillicothe is looking for a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help create meaningful experiences that promote engagement, independence, and quality of life for our residents.

Qualifications

  • Long-term care or healthcare experience preferred, but not required

  • Positive attitude and a passion for working with seniors

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and implementing activity programs that meet the interests, abilities, and needs of residents

  • Escort residents to and from activities, events, and outings

  • Encourage participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment

  • Build positive relationships with residents and their families

  • Accurately document attendance and participation in activities

  • Support residents in maintaining their individual preferences, routines, and choices
