LPN/RN Unit Manager

Location: Orange County, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $77,500 – $90,000 annually

Our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center is seeking an experienced and compassionate LPN or RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership and oversee the daily operations of a nursing unit. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care while mentoring and supporting a dedicated clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of an assigned nursing unit to ensure exceptional resident care.

  • Manage staffing levels and coordinate schedules to maintain adequate unit coverage.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support Licensed Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.

  • Perform resident assessments and ensure individualized care plans are implemented effectively.

  • Provide direct nursing care as needed while maintaining high clinical standards.

  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.

  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of nursing staff.

  • Complete required Preceptor Training and assist with ongoing staff education and development.

  • Address resident and family concerns with professionalism, empathy, and timely follow-up.

  • Monitor quality indicators and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain survey readiness and ensure compliance with all facility policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and resident-centered culture within the nursing team.

Qualifications

  • Current, active, and unrestricted LPN or RN license in the State of Florida.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care.

  • At least one (1) year of supervisory or nursing leadership experience.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Passion for mentoring staff and providing outstanding resident-centered care.
