We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care for premature and critically ill newborns. As part of our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will work alongside an experienced neonatology team to deliver specialized care that supports the health, development, and well-being of infants and their families.
What you'll do
- Provide comprehensive nursing care by assessing patients, developing care plans, and delivering treatments and education.
- Monitor and care for premature and critically ill newborns requiring specialized interventions and continuous observation.
- Partner with families to support participation in care and decision-making throughout the patient's stay.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
- Follow professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and WakeMed's patient and family-centered care model.
Who you are
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment.
- Collaborative team member who values partnering with families and healthcare professionals.
- Previous NICU, neonatal, pediatric critical care, or other acute care nursing experience is preferred.
