Understanding of the Danner score (Aldrete) with documentation complete. Appropriately manages acute pain of the immediate post-op period. Appropriately manages recovery from regional anesthesia- assessing movement of extremities and spinal levels via dermatome chart. Demonstrates accurate assessment of the patient's post-op cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological status including hemodynamic stability, airway management, and mental status evaluation. Appropriately manages the post-anesthesia patient according to discharge criteria. Maintains competency of post-anesthesia recovery by recovering at least 6 patients per year.

Education Requirements: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Current Minnesota RN licensure. * Current BLS certification. * One (1) year pediatric nursing experience in a hospital setting. * Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment. * Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or obtained during orientation. * Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required or obtained during orientation. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard.
