JOB PURPOSE: We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The RN plays a key role in delivering high-quality care, ensuring efficient patient flow, and supporting both clinical and operational needs in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

 

The primary goal of the Elk Ridge Community Health Registered Nurse is to support Elk Ridge’s Mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care that is affordable and accessible to all who may have healthcare needs, by successfully performing the primary essential functions.

 

Job Functions:

  • Triages patients by phone or in person, assessing symptoms and following established clinical protocols.
  • Supports patient intake and flow, including rooming, collecting vital signs, and documenting in the EMR.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as ordered and monitor patient responses.
  • Prepares and collect lab specimens for in-house or external testing.
  • Processes prescription refill requests according to protocol.
  • Provides health education and guidance to patients and families based on individual care plans.
  • Facilitates communication between patients and care teams using phone, portal, and EMR systems.
  • Supervises and provide clinical guidance to support staff as needed.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory, clinic supplies, and medication stock.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, hazardous waste handling, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with leadership to stay current on best practices and maintain readiness for Inspections.

 

Joint Commission Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with all Policies and Procedures including but not limited to work areas, workstations, examination rooms, hand washing, infection prevention and control etc. for this position.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and proficiency with the application of all compliance and reporting requirements respective to Joint Commission Certification (JCC) standards.

  • In accordance with policies and procedures ensures that documentation of hours worked is completed accurately, as well as signed-off/approved in a timely manner.
  • Employees must maintain their skills proficiency with Elk Ridge Community Health operating systems and/or software programs by adapting to changing requirements and successfully learning and demonstrating new skills in response to software, system, and program improvements or upgrades.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Registered Nurse - Cherrybell - Family Medicine

JOB PURPOSE : The Registered Nurse serves as part of the team providing quality healthcare to El Rio Health patients. In this role, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, both clinical and non-clinical within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse under the Arizona State Board of Nursing and policies and procedures set by El Rio Health. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process, collaborating with the physicians and interdisciplinary team members and provides physical and psychological support to patients and their families. The Registered Nurse works under the general supervision and review of the El Rio Health Center Manager or Associate Health Center Manager at the clinic where assigned. The Registered Nurse consults with a supervisor for resolution or direction for any work problems involving departures from the scope of practice, standard policies, interpretations, or procedures.
