SYNERGY HomeCare, Goldsboro/Wilson/Jacksonville Companionship Caregiver Purpose The Companion Caregiver provides non-medical support and companionship to clients who wish to remain safe, independent, and engaged while living in the comfort of their own home. The primary focus of this role is enhancing quality of life through meaningful interaction, supervision, and assistance with everyday household activities. Companion Care Services Companion Caregivers may provide the following services: Companionship Engage clients in friendly conversation and meaningful social interaction. Provide emotional support and encouragement. Participate in hobbies, games, crafts, reading, puzzles, or other enjoyable activities. Accompany clients on walks and recreational outings. Encourage participation in social, community, and faith-based activities. Meal Preparation Plan and prepare light meals and snacks. Encourage proper nutrition and hydration. Assist with meal setup and cleanup. Light Housekeeping Wash dishes and clean the kitchen after meal preparation. Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop living areas. Change bed linens.
