Responsibilities:

Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
May participate in supporting the clinic’s social media presence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed

Overview: As a Medical Assistant at Hometown Urgent Care, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare delivery by assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Duties: Responsible for taking patient history and obtain vital signs Perform basic testing or screenings such as: vision, audio, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, pulmonary function testing. Perform necessary phlebotomy for collection of laboratory samples. Accurately complete corresponding paperwork/computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, tissue, and culture samples. Able to perform subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections and accurately complete paperwork according to policy for that procedure.
