Lead CNA & Field Care Specialist
Are you a skilled, adaptable CNA/LNA looking for a dynamic leadership role where your expertise is deeply respected, your voice is heard, and your clinical skills truly shine?
At Seniors Helping Seniors, we believe that aging should be met with dignity, grace, and respect—and we believe the exact same thing applies to our care team.
If you are an experienced caregiver—such as a former travel CNA, registry professional, or seasoned home health aide—who thrives on variety, excels in high-acuity care, and loves mentoring others, this role is built for you. We are not a chaotic facility or a traditional agency that treats you like a number. We are looking for a Lead Field Care Specialist & Trainer who can step up as a trusted rock for our clients, our new team members, and our field operations across Southern Arizona.
The Impact You Will Make
If you are exhausted by the grueling pace of taxing nursing homes and short-staffed hospitals, we offer a breath of fresh air. We are not a chaotic facility or a traditional, fast-paced staffing agency that treats you like a number. As our Lead Field Care Specialist, you are the face of quality care and mentorship across our entire service territory—including the greater Tucson region, Oro Valley, Vail, Green Valley, and Rio Rico. Every day brings an opportunity to lead, care, and make a meaningful difference.
In this role, you will:
Onboard & Lead New Client Setups: Step into new receiver homes for the initial 1 to 2 weeks on service to evaluate care needs, establish personalized care plans, and build a smooth, comforting foundation for the family.
Reliable Coverage Leader: Be our dependable go-to professional for shift coverage, planned vacations, and short-notice call-offs across our entire service area—ensuring our clients never experience a break in care.
Field Trainer & Mentor: Serve as a leader in the field by training, guiding, and orienting new caregivers on client-specific care plans and company standards, ensuring long-term caregivers are fully equipped to succeed.
Reliable Coverage Leader: Be our dependable go-to professional for short-notice shift coverage, call-offs, and vacation coverage across our entire service area.
Provide Expert High-Acuity & Holistic Care: Confidently deliver compassionate, dignified support across the full spectrum of client needs—from complex physical ADLs and high-acuity care to light housekeeping, cooking, and genuine companion care.
Support Daily Independence & Connection: Help keep households running smoothly while bringing joy, warmth, and meaningful social connection into every home you visit.
What We Are Looking For (Leadership, Safety & Trust)
Because our seniors and care team rely heavily on this role, we need a dedicated, adaptable professional who thrives on change and embodies utter dependability:
Active Credentials: A valid, unencumbered state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license.
Diverse & High-Acuity Experience: Proven background in high-acuity caregiving (travel CNA, agency, float pool, or registry experience is a huge plus).
Unwavering Dependability: Consistency is the heart of this position. We need a rock-solid leader who takes pride in exceptional punctuality and reliability.
Adaptability & People Skills: Comfortable stepping into new environments with ease, navigating diverse client backgrounds with cultural sensitivity, and leading others with patience and encouraging authority.
Ready Vehicle & Willingness to Travel: A valid US Driver’s License, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance to seamlessly cover shifts throughout Tucson, Oro Valley, Vail, Green Valley, and Rio Rico.
Background & Checks: Ability to pass a thorough criminal background check, drug screening, and personality evaluation.
Why You’ll Love Being a Lead Specialist on Our Team
Respected Professional Leadership: Say goodbye to being bossed around, micro-managed, or talked down to by facility RNs or DON’s that do not care. Here, your voice, experience, and education are deeply respected—you will get to use your full clinical knowledge and hands-on expertise to directly create and build care plans that transform lives for the better.
Escape Facility Burnout: Leave behind understaffed floor shifts, chaotic hospital units, and heavy patient ratios. Experience a role where you have the breathing room to focus on high-quality, individualized care.
Dynamic, Engaging Work: No two days are identical! You get the perfect balance of direct caregiving, field leadership, client setup, and caregiver mentorship.
Valued Voice & True Leadership: You are not just filling hours—you are actively shaping care plans, setting standard operating procedures in client homes, and helping new caregivers thrive.
Supportive Culture: Work alongside an administrative team that truly values your insights, respects your clinical skills, and supports you every step of the way.
Meaningful Relationships: Build authentic connections with seniors and their families from day one while helping matched long-term caregivers build strong relationships.
