Overview

The Clinical Nurse is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization and is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader/decision maker, scientist and transferor. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure safe passage of patients that is in the best interest of populations served.

  • Qualifications

    • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

    Required Licensure/Certifications

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate required within 6 months of hire.

    Nurse Manager -Family Medicine Newport Health Center

    Overview At the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, and in collaboration with Ambulatory Leadership, provides guidance and leadership for the clinical practice of the staff in the ambulatory settings at Newport Health Center (NHC). Accountable for the quality of nursing care service, in accordance with the NH Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and the NH Board of Nursing rules for delegated nursing tasks. Collaborates with Medical Director, providers and Practice Leadership to assure development and ongoing competence of the clinical support staff. Works closely with the NLH Primary Care Operations team to build consistent clinical processes across locations. Collaborates with the CNO to assure that system nursing practice goals and expectations are met. Responsibilities Clinical Operations Directly responsible for operational and performance management of RN/LPN, CMA, and other clinical staff in the NLH Medical Group Practice (direct reports). Manages Clinical Schedule, Time Away, and Payroll for Direct Reports, and collaborates with Practice Leadership to provide consistent appropriate clinical coverage to NLMG Providers.     Charge Nurse - Emergency Department

    Overview The ED Lead/Triage Nurse is a vital leadership and clinical role responsible for overseeing shift operations in the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient patient flow, safe care delivery, and effective team coordination. This role also involves assessing and prioritizing patients upon arrival through systematic triage, initiating appropriate care pathways, and facilitating communication between healthcare teams. Responsibilities Lead Nurse Responsibilities: Leadership & Oversight Serve as the clinical leader and primary resource for nursing staff during assigned shifts. Coordinate staffing assignments based on patient acuity and unit needs. Manage shift operations, including delegation of tasks and monitoring workflows. Support staff in escalating clinical concerns to providers or leadership as needed.
