Patient Care and Clinical Support: Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient/clinic setting, which includes but is not limited to comprehensive patient intake, including review of symptoms, vitals, and clinical documentation in the oncology medical record. Ensure appropriate diagnostic and monitoring tests are ordered and completed (e.g. ECHO, DEXA, PFTs, regimen-specific labs).
Communication & Collaboration: Collaborate with providers and the multidisciplinary care team to address patient care, scheduling, and clinic workflow needs. Coordinate with new patient navigators to ensure required intake documentation is complete prior to initial oncology visits. Manage provider clinic workload communications and assist with patient flow optimization. Serve as a clinical resource for patient portal communications and follow-up.
Administrative & Documentation: Enter and manage orders for labs, imaging, referrals, and prescriptions per provider direction. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Support clinic operations through proactive identification and resolution of scheduling or care coordination gaps.
