Job Summary
A long term care facility in Collingdale PA is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to join our team of healthcare professionals. The Nursing Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring high-quality patient care while providing leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing staff.
This position is ideal for an experienced nursing professional who is committed to clinical excellence, staff development, regulatory compliance, and positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care as needed while ensuring all care is delivered in accordance with established standards of practice and facility policies and procedures.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of nursing staff, including assignments, schedules, and workload management.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor patient conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented in a timely manner.
Ensure nursing staff are properly trained, competent, and equipped to provide safe and effective patient care.
Address patient, family, and staff concerns promptly and appropriately.
Monitor compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes.
Assist with the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
Requirements
Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program.
Experience: Previous nursing experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current and active nursing license required.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and develop nursing staff.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Clinical Skills: Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond appropriately to changing patient conditions.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of nursing standards, healthcare regulations, and long-term care requirements preferred.
