Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer or House Supervisor, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Licensed Vocational Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.

Qualifications

  • Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse in the state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required. Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
  • Experience: One year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience preferred but not required.
