We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and responsible PRN Caregiver to provide quality personal care and support to clients on an as-needed basis. The caregiver will assist clients with daily living activities while promoting their safety, dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
The PRN Caregiver must be flexible and willing to work varying shifts based on client needs and staffing requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide compassionate and respectful care to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as appropriate.
Prepare and assist with meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
Provide medication reminders in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
Perform light housekeeping duties related to the client's care and living environment.
Provide companionship and engage clients in appropriate activities.
Observe and report changes in the client's physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and client care plans.
Protect client privacy and always maintain confidentiality.
Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.
Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team.
Respond to PRN staffing needs and accept assignments based on availability.
Qualifications
Previous caregiving, personal care, home care, assisted living, or healthcare experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must demonstrate compassion, patience, reliability, and good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and daily living activities.
· Ability to a pass background checks and drug screenings
· Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Schedule
This is a PRN/as-needed position. Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and short-notice coverage depending on client and staffing needs.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and sit for extended periods.
Ability to assist with client transfers and mobility according to the client's care plan and applicable safety procedures.
Ability to perform light housekeeping and other physical duties associated with client care.
