PRN Caregiver as Needed

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and responsible PRN Caregiver to provide quality personal care and support to clients on an as-needed basis. The caregiver will assist clients with daily living activities while promoting their safety, dignity, independence, and overall well-being.

The PRN Caregiver must be flexible and willing to work varying shifts based on client needs and staffing requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and respectful care to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.

• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as appropriate.

• Prepare and assist with meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.

• Provide medication reminders in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.

• Perform light housekeeping duties related to the client's care and living environment.

• Provide companionship and engage clients in appropriate activities.

• Observe and report changes in the client's physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the appropriate supervisor.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.

• Follow all company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and client care plans.

• Protect client privacy and always maintain confidentiality.

• Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.

• Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team.

• Respond to PRN staffing needs and accept assignments based on availability.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving, personal care, home care, assisted living, or healthcare experience preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must demonstrate compassion, patience, reliability, and good communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and daily living activities.

·       Ability to a pass background checks and drug screenings

·       Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required

·       Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Schedule

This is a PRN/as-needed position. Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and short-notice coverage depending on client and staffing needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and sit for extended periods.

• Ability to assist with client transfers and mobility according to the client's care plan and applicable safety procedures.

• Ability to perform light housekeeping and other physical duties associated with client care.
