Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Certified Surgical Tech to join our team. The Surgical Tech will play a crucial role in assisting with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment in our modern surgical facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and organize the surgical suite before each procedure.
Assist the surgical team by providing the necessary instruments and supplies.
Ensure a sterile field is maintained throughout the surgical procedure.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide prompt assistance.
Handle surgical instruments with care and proficiency.
Assist with patient positioning and draping.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Assist in post-operative cleanup and restocking of the surgical suite.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices.

Your Everyday Assist the circulating nurse with patient positioning, confirmation/preparation of operative site, care of operative specimens and room turnover. Establish and maintain an organized sterile field. Provide scrub assistance during procedures which reflect awareness of anatomy, necessary principles, skills, supplies, and adequate knowledge base. Demonstrate the application of the principles of asepsis and select proper sterilization method of instruments/equipment prior to procedures and verify sterile instruments taking corrective action when any unsafe practice, conditions or breaks in aseptic technique occur and report information to the circulating nurse. Prepare the operating room by opening sterile supplies, instruments, and sutures based on scheduled procedure and surgeon preference card. Follow policies for scrubbing, gowning, gloving, setting up back table, draping and counting with the circulating nurse.
