They will work on all four campuses as a relief nurse. The RN will be in Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Family medicine, Hematology, Urology and all specialty clinics. The nurse coordinates nursing care for patients while in the Physician Clinics. A detailed-orientated, dependable, organized nurse who is able to do multitask and has demonstrated a consistent work history will be the candidate chosen for the job! Other responsibilities are returning and answering phone calls, prescription call-in, administration of medication to include vaccines, setting up and assisting with clinic procedures. They will work with insurance companies for preauthorization of tests, procedures and surgery. The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will not be required to work weekends and holidays. An RN with a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the state of Louisiana will be required for this position.
