As an OB-GYN Registered Nurse (RN) on a PRN basis, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care within our specialized womens care areas, delivering expert clinical support for gynecological surgeries, post-operative recovery, high-risk antepartum management, and comprehensive postpartum mother-baby care. Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
What You Will Do In Your Role:
- You will accurately document in the patient’s record a descriptino of the nursing care provided.
- You will administer medication in a safe, knowledgeable and accurate manner. Follow laws, regulations, and hospital policy as it relates to controlled substances.
- You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for the assigned patients, including discharge planning, utilizing an interdisciplinary team approach.
- You will assist the physician with examination, tests, and procedures.
- You will carry out physician orders in a safe and approachable manner.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License with 90 days of hire date).
- Current BLS certification are required.
- 1-year of OB-GYN clinical experience as a licensed RN required.
