As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver highly specialized, patient-centered care within our 24/7 obstetric department. Our unit is equipped with private labor suites, 24/7 dedicated obstetrician and anesthesia coverage, and an on-site Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to ensure seamless clinical support for both low-risk and high-risk deliveries. Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
What you will do in your role:
- You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
- You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
- You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
- You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team.
- You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.
What qualification you will need:
- Associates Degree minimum requirement, Bachelor Degree preferred
- Current RN license in Texas and/or current Compact License
- Current BCLS Certification Required
- Current ACLS and NRP Certifications Required
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course within 90 days of hire date
- 1 year of RN Labor and Delivery - LDRP experience in a hospital setting required
