Essential Job Duties:
The Registered Nurse-CVOR performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation. Identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, desire for care and responses to any previous care.

Initiates discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate. Performs interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. Demonstrates the ability to assist the physician with procedures in the operating room, including cardio-thoracic surgery and coronary artery bypass surgery. Able to set-up for cases and maintain sterility in the operating room per AORN guidelines.


Qualifications

 

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

One (1) year experience in an critical care setting in an acute care facility.

BSN Preferred

 

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

Current California Registered Nurse license

BLS certification

ACLS certification

PALS certification

 

Employees may be required to float to the other facility within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided.
