Clinical Coordinator (RN) Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of quality care through the effective application of the nursing process.
- Stay aware of patients’ needs and communicate any changes to relevant team members.
- Apply critical thinking and establish priorities when making decisions regarding patient care and staffing.
- Delegate tasks fairly based on each team member's capabilities, ensuring all work is completed efficiently.
- Act as an advocate for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the Director/Designee to complete performance evaluations, follow up on staff achievements, and provide counseling and education as needed.
- Practice cost control measures to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Keep the Director/Designee informed of all relevant matters and updates.
- Adjust assignments and priorities to accommodate changing or increased workloads.
- Support nursing policies and serve as a change agent when new procedures or policies need to be implemented.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut required.
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
- BS in Nursing or related health field preferred.
- At least one year of demonstrated effective leadership experience preferred.
