This dedicated position is intentionally designed to attract elite Freestanding Emergency Room, FSED, Standalone ER, Satellite Emergency, Trauma, CEN, Flight / Transport, Emergency Department, ED, Emergency Room, and ER RNs who thrive on clinical agility and rapid assessment. Operating as a full-service, 24/7 freestanding emergency care center—and a direct department of HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast—our facility delivers full-scale adult and pediatric emergency care, rapid protocols for acute injuries and illnesses, on-site laboratory testing, and advanced imaging (including CT scans, X-rays, and ultrasound). Our nurses collaborate closely with board-certified emergency physicians to stabilize patients and facilitate seamless, direct ambulance admissions to HCA-affiliated hospitals when inpatient care is required. Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

Identify the patients functional, cognitive, physiological, and psychological condition, including family expectations and treatment perceptions prior to emergency care.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate general nursing care alongside interdisciplinary discharge planning tailored to the fast-paced freestanding environment.
Carry out physician orders, assist with emergency examinations or procedures, and safely administer medications while adhering strictly to controlled substance policies.
Observe patient clinical status, maintain accurate medical records, and immediately communicate critical changes in condition through the established unit chain of command.
Comply with hospital policies, age-specific competencies, and universal infection control precautions while contributing to facility performance improvement initiatives.
Plan and coordinate patient and family teaching, evaluate their understanding of instructions, and support diverse cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values.
Maintain full professional accountability by knowing and following all regulations set forth in the Texas Nurse Practice Act and relevant nursing statutes.

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC and NIH Stroke certifications required.
1 year of clinical ER experience as a licensed RN in hospital or FSER setting required.

Preference will be given to RNs who have worked in Facility Case Management with another MCO, but we will also consider RNs who have experience working in nursing facilities and/or experience conducting MDS assessments. Responsibilities include seeing the members in the nursing facilities and working with the nursing staff onsite there. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM CST and mileage is reimbursed as part of our benefit package. We’re hiring a RN Case Manager – a compassionate and skilled clinician who coordinates care, develops individualized plans, and provides hands-on hospice and palliative care for patients and families. This role is essential to ensuring quality care and supporting patients throughout their end-of-life journey. What You’ll Be Doing Develop detailed Plans of Care for assigned patients, ensuring all services are identified and met Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Group, patient, family, and attending physician to coordinate care Provide skilled hospice and palliative care for the remainder of the patient’s life Conduct comprehensive nursing evaluations and assessments Provide field supervision to LVNs and Home Health Aides assigned to your patients Perform field case management and other duties assigned Qualifications Registered Nurse with a valid state license Minimum of 1 year experience as an RN required; hospice experience preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Must clear criminal background check, physical, and drug screening Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation required Willingness to drive to patient locations and work outside regular hours as needed Why Choose Silverado?
