Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

You will be responsible for assessing, planning and implementing the admission process.
You will be responsible for coordinating care and collaborating with other departments to ensure positive patient outcomes and that all of the needs of the patients and significant others are met.
You will be responsible for the administration of medications, knowledge of actions, indications, adverse reactions, dosage, and route. Also, must reassess patients for effectiveness of medication and document appropriately.
You will coordinate discharge planning/case management services from the Observation Unit.
You will maintain clear and respectful communication with patient, family, physician, and other healthcare providers. Practice excellent customer service at all times.

What qualifications you will need:

Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date).
American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
1-year of clinical Med Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required - [Telemetry, Cardiac, Observation, OBs, Chest Pain, Short Stay, EDOU, ED Observation, CDU, Clinical Decision Unit, Admission Discharge]

Work Scheduled: 3 days per week, 7a-7p/Rotating Weekends As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) in Medical Telemetry at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress , you will drive frontline nursing leadership, shift operations, and patient throughput coordination within an elite, doctor-founded 163-bed hospital campus. Practicing within our advanced progressive care units—including our state-of-the-art 31-bed inpatient unit housed in the 100 million North Patient Tower—your practice is fully supported by an integrated network of high-acuity medical and emergency services. This location is equipped with a Level III Trauma Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, a dedicated cardiac catheterization lab, and open-heart and vascular surgery suites. Furthermore, a robust 20-bed ICU and a multidisciplinary ecosystem featuring advanced cardiovascular care, robot-assisted surgery, and comprehensive diagnostic imaging ensure your progressive care teams have the critical infrastructure needed to achieve superior clinical outcomes. Job Summary and Qualifications What you will do in this role: You will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care of assigned patients in the Unit in order to provide quality patient care. You will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the appropriate age populations. You will provide professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. You will provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. What qualifications you will need: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
