RN / LPN Weekend Warrior Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Weekend Warrior Program, you will provide high-quality nursing care while helping ensure our residents receive the support, dignity, and attention they deserve.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide nursing care according to physician orders and individualized care plans

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered

  • Monitor residents and promptly communicate changes in condition

  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members

  • Supervise and support CNAs as appropriate

  • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines

  • Promote resident comfort, dignity, and quality of life

  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care throughout your shift

Qualifications

  • Current Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

  • Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused

Communicate on a regular basis with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, and suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, conditions, etc. Observe and evaluate residents' health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff. When indicated is responsible for notifying the physician and family members according to prescribed procedures. Provide direct patient care as appropriate including, but not limited to, procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso-gastric tubes and other treatments. Participate in report at the beginning and end of shifts to assure proper information about residents is communicated. Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, assure that physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc. are transcribed and communicated according to procedure. The ideal candidate will have: Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing. Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the State. One year nursing experience. Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing. #LPN Compensation Pay Range: $29.13 - $40.52 per hour Reasonable Pay Estimate A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $29.13 - $40.52 per hour.
