As a Nurse Supervisor you are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Park Ridge by assisting with supervising the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident's needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of Illinois Registered Nurse (R.N.) license, C.P.R. Certification, and two (2) years of R.N. experience. Prior experience managing a nursing department or unit and five (5) years of R.N. experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!

SUMMARY: The 3p-11p, Nursing Supervisor performs professional supervisory nursing practice in the care of the physically and mentally ill. Work involves responsibility for supervising the provision of quality nursing care given at the facility. The position is responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice; coordinating nursing programs; for recognizing and assisting in solving professional, administrative, and supervisory problems. Position exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving nursing problems within established policies and practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Determines the optimal allocation of present staff, per shift and assignment on each unit is present. Coordinates the care of patients on assigned shifts. Communicates shifts concerns by the unit to appropriate staff (via e-mails, voice mail, etc.). Review of 24 Hour Report and review patients as indicated for change of condition. Serves as the administrative authority for the smooth functioning of all units.
