Responsibilities

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.

  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication.

  • Help with mobility

  • Plan and prepare meals

  • Assist clients with errands including outings, grocery shopping, etc.

  • Perform light housekeeping duties

  • Report any changes in condition/ Advocate for clients

  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

  • Encourage activities/exercises that are essential for daily living

  • Provide safety supervision

     

Qualifications

  • 18 or Older

  • Ability to submit to and pass drug screen and criminal background check

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations

  • Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

  • Availability to work different shifts

  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment *preferred but not required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance and/or reliable transportation

  • Take pride in providing high quality care
