Your Role:

Qualifications Current and active LPN license in good standing Minimum of 1 year of experience in detox, behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or a similar treatment environment Current CPR certification Experience administering medications orally, subcutaneously, and intramuscularly (IM) Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of withdrawal, medical instability, and psychiatric emergencies and respond appropriately Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergency situations Ability to physically respond quickly in emergency situations Familiarity with ASAM Criteria preferred Familiarity with Joint Commission (JCAHO) Standards of Care for Behavioral Health preferred Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Detox Nurse is instrumental in guiding patients safely through the detoxification process under physician orders.
