This is a urology clinical/triage nurse position at the Koman Outpatient Pavilion Urology Center, working primarily with patients in medical and surgical oncology. The position focuses on care coordination and management of oncology patients. The RN will also be responsible for direct patient care in the clinic setting in addition to clinical triage, EPIC in-basket management, and direct communication with Providers. This RN will also provide coverage for sick calls and vacations for the urology nursing team. The RN needs strong communication skills and a strong ability to multitask to collaborate and coordinate with all urology healthcare teams, ensuring optimal care for patients and families. Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. RN License issued by the State of California.
